Biographical and Professional Information
Dennis wrote The Streets and San Man’s Guide to Chicago Eats during his six-year tenure as an electrician in the City of Chicago’s Department of Streets and Sanitation. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College—Chicago, and his work has appeared in Poetry Motel, Hair Trigger 23 and 24, Block’s Magazine, The Use of Personal Narratives in the Helping Profession, Gravity, Bluelit.com, and a number of other publications. Now working primarily as a freelance writer, Dennis also coaches basketball at his alma mater, St. Laurence High School.
