Alan Tardi is a freelance writer and restaurant consultant. He is a chef at restaurants including Chantrelle and Lafayette, both in New York. From 1992-2001 he was the owner and chef of the restaurant Follonico. He received the James Beard Award for Best Wine & Spirits Book of 2006 ("Romancing the Vine").
